Today I met a famous FreeBSD developer, David O’Brien (a.k.a. obrien@) and he gave us a presentation about the AMD64 architecture, which cleared my misunderstanding about the AMD64 architecture set by some marketing guys presenting in Tsinghua University.

FreeBSD: Let's get it better and better
Yesterday I have talked with Max Laier about the pf accessories, say, the spamd. He explained me why it is kept in ports/ and not the base system - this is to keep the base system small, and I completely agree this.

准备组织一次小规模的北京地区FreeBSD'er活动
用中文写了，因为这次活动只涉及北京地区的FreeBSD’er。昨天跟liue, hd商量基本确定下周六下午在网络中心的会议室(地点待定)举行一次小型的活动(主要是因为场地限制)，内容暂定为ports维护(如何写和维护port)、内核优化等等。
