The answer is not so trivial. You must migrate everything, from MT’s configuration to its databases, etc. In addition, proper permission must be set in order to get it run.

Expecting that your MT is running under mtuser, you must give the user enough privilege so it will be able to access the database. A mysqldump will help you to dump the data, and then, you should restore the data on another machine.

The mt’s home directory must be owned by the anonymous www user. This of course poses a potential security problem if you want to make this. A solution is to move script directory out, or set different permission on it.
