经历了更换硬盘打击之后的beastie总算活过来了(/var由于这次操作彻底消失了)。由于软件版本升级太多，考虑到综合成本，我部署了PhantasmMail 3.0-beta。目前尚需解决sasl的验证问题。

This is basically equivlent as what is running on beastie.frontfree.net. It exhibits stablity and performance improvements the recent work by FreeBSD folks.

Main new features (all from FreeBSD):

• gcc 3.4.2
• ACPI, drivers’ improvements
• VM improvements

Yeah I know that you were surprised why there were not delphijfork during the last two weeks, that is because I was extremely busy and beasite got some problems. Now everything seems to be sane.

The major difference between traditional Frontfree Mail System and this is:

I have watched spurious SYN messages and apparantly this has affected beastie.frontfree.net’s networking subsystem, namely, its mail system. The attack is from 203.81.27.11.

Whois indicates 203.81.27.11 is:

I have added some SYNFLOOD proof packet filter rules for beastie.frontfree.net. Interestingly, the filter options seems to “forge” beastie.frontfree.net to be an OpenBSD box.

Now beastie.frontfree.net is running with HTT enabled.

有人在不停地催我，我有点急想骂那人，但终于还是忍住了，因为其实我也没有办法——爱谁谁吧，眼下尽快把毕业设计做完是第一位的，其他的全是瞎掰。我想起了老汪的那句「你得把A逼出屎来，然后A再把B逼出屎来，然后事情就办了」，这话最早还是出自liu8，但是，那什么，好像现在我是A，而网络中心是B，然而，恐怕断网并不是凭网络中心一己之力能够解决的，因为他们的工作人员最近几天也在满负荷运转。

学校已经断网这么多天了，真不知道那家公司在搞什么，在做什么，他们之前有计划没有，遇到了什么问题，解决到什么地步，打算再折腾多久，说得难听一点，是不是在拿学校的设备在练手：上千万人民币的项目，一家虽然不算太有名，但总还是有一些经验的公司，也是学校的老牌合作商，看过他们的投标书，应该还算是正规吧，应该也有相当多的施工经验吧，可是就是不知道怎么一到关键时刻就那么多意外，那么多状况。把设备调好了拿来，分阶段并行安装，出问题回退到前一阶段，用的着连着调这么久吗？

alu连夜帮忙配了一台备份的MX，总算是能够让断网期间少丢两封邮件了……这台备份的MX将在beastie.frontfree.net恢复时将邮件传递给它。我这都是在折腾什么？:|
