我完全无法理解为什么会有人愿意被一个应用程序绑住。无非两种情况：一种是这个应用程序是花钱买来的，一种是这个应用程序没花钱。花钱买来的程序，没啥可废话的，直接要求对方提供就好了。如果不是花钱买的，可选的东西那么多，为什么非得选那么一个破玩意呢？

访问听下包发现：

两个（组）前端：fronta和frontb，跑 Linux + Squid。图片（img）、动态页面采用同一组cache，后端使用apache 2.2.6，php 5.2.4。所有图片、静态js均假定用户不刷（i.e. 设置一个较长的过期时间）来减轻负载。

今天 Howard Wang 找我抱怨 php5-gd 依赖 xorg 的问题。大概看了一下，很明显这是一个 bug，不过并不是很好修，目前并没有很高效的方式来检测GD在联编过程中是否启用了XPM（默认情况下并不是这样）。

其实还是挺简单的。

HTTP_GET_VARS -> _GET
HTTP_POST_VARS -> _POST
HTTP_POST_FILES -> _FILES
HTTP_COOKIE_VARS -> _COOKIE
HTTP_SERVER_VARS -> _SERVER

前几天忙得晕头转向的……

打算抽时间把libc里面的东西仔细看一看。前一阵发现一个诡异的PHP问题，不知道到底是php的bug还是libc的。。。

So finally they have released it, maybe I will use it at company, but not on my boxes since they run php 5.x series, hahaha…

A GPL’ed (say, it’s not OpenSource, but the source code is available publicly) PHP accelerator has been evaluated at lab, which is called eAccelerator. I should adjust my claim that this sort of application is not useful.

During my test, the accelerator has improved the TPS by about 50%, and is quite impressive.

In order to install this on FreeBSd, you should have installed PHP from ports, and go to www/eaccelerator and ``make install’'.

Good news is that the University has remembered to pay for a project, bad news are, I am looking for a person who is capable for maintaining Unix(R) Systems like FreeBSD and Linux, Solaris, and is knowledgable in scripting languages, etc (PHP, MySQL, etc) for the company I am working for, etc. Please let me know by sending your resume to delphij at delphij dot net.
