Ruslan Ermilov

Ruslan Ermilov, a very active FreeBSD committer has recently told us that his wife is in very bad ill and that would cost a lot of money. He would like to get some financial help.

Needless to say how he is important for the FreeBSD project, From Peter Wemm (the CVS repository meister)’s statistics, he got the #2 rank of the number of commits in the src/ tree (without the kernel). He is also very active in the networking related stuff of the kernel.

Traditionally, FreeBSD has many NO_FOO knobs while it also has NOFOO knobs that is quite confusing. Today, Ruslan Ermilov (The Makefile guru at FreeBSD campaus) has started his NOFOO -> NO_FOO conversion, this will make everything consist.

以前觉得Ruslan Ermilov (ru at FreeBSD dot org, mdoc(7) maintainer)一般只是commit一些Makefile，在整个project里面不过是一个做简单maintain工作的角色，真到自己动手写Makefile的时候才发现，想把Makefile写好可真是太难了。
