Spam

A decision was made to enable SPF on beastie. SPF is a technology that mitigates forged spam (while it itself is not totally spam proof, as spammers can set up their own SPF record :-)

Follow arved’s port change: added the official NOFOLLOW plugin into the plugins directory.

This is useful because Google will never follow the links to raise page ranks, thus eliminates blog spamming’s benefit.

It seems that there is some keywords in the central cleaning house and I can’t update the blacklist… Maybe we should create a new one!

实在是不得已而为之，spammer越来越过分了。comment插件一口气删掉了将近300条垃圾comment。

感觉现在反垃圾技术发展到了一个坎上，短期内恐怕不会什么大的技术突破。基本的技术就是黑白名单、内容分析、特征分析。垃圾邮件发送的技术最近也没什么大的进展，目前我能够做到的漏判大约是万分之七，误判万分之五左右，前一阵考虑的技术还没有时间去做……

Today liukang has suggested some software that will fight against blog spamming. They are:

The first is MT plugin and the second is its data automatic updater.

I’ve no time to turn them into ports at this time. Will try them on my box and if I have time I will port them.

So I am now target of blog spamming. I’m ready to fight back.

More blobs would be closed before they get spammed.

More IPs would be blocked because they spam.

I will utilize anti-spam techniques that I am using in my mail system to defeat blog spamming.

I will set up some blacklist for URLs that appears in my friends’ blogs.

Spam sucks, don’t spam, and I _WILL_ fight back.

It seems that my blog get spammed by various parties. I hereby declare a war against spamming, also for e-mails.

You’re being watched and identified from this point on. Once you spam my blog, I guarantee that your activations are being tracked and analyzed with my knowledge base system and finally I will be able to keep everything from you off my site.

It seems that I still need 25 spams before I can get beastie.frontfree.net’s Bayesian system to be functional again. This really took me long time because nowadays PhantasmMail has much better spam dealing policies.
